Three days of soil health, biology, and nutrient efficiency with growers, dealers, and agronomists who are actually doing the work.
01The workshop
Come for the answers you cannot get from a product label.
The Winter Workshop brings together growers, dealers, agricultural professionals, industry partners, and anyone else working toward stronger, more resilient farming systems.
This is an education-first event. It is not a trade show. You will learn why soil health, regenerative practice, nutrient efficiency, biological systems, and crop performance matter, and then how to put them to work on your own ground.
The format stays open and discussion-driven on purpose. Ask questions, argue a point, trade ideas, and have honest conversations with the speakers and with people facing the same problems you are.
02The format
Three days built around learning, with sponsors who are part of the conversation rather than working a booth.
Every session pairs the science behind a practice with what it takes to run it on a real farm, at real scale, on a real budget.
Speakers stay in the room. There is time to ask follow-up questions, dig into your own fields, and hear how others solved the same problem.
We host it at our own shop in Jacksonville. You see the equipment, the brewing systems, and the operation behind the products.
032027 program
Graeme Sait is the CEO and co-founder of Nutri-Tech Solutions, a world leader in regenerative agriculture. He is an author and educator responsible for more than 300 published articles and the book Nutrition Rules, and he created the internationally acclaimed five day Certificate in Nutrition Farming along with its 360 page training manual.
His Nutrition Farming Podcast has become an international phenomenon with hundreds of thousands of listens in over 70 countries. His TED talk, Humus Saves the World, has passed half a million views, and his How to Do It series on YouTube is now in its fifth season.
He speaks on soil health, plant health, and animal health, and more recently on planetary health, in recognition of the link between humus and carbon sequestration. He is also an expert in human nutrition, and his presentations on wellness are often described as life changing.
He is giving the Tuesday evening keynote, from 5:00 to 7:00.
Matt Powers is an author, educator, citizen scientist, and seed farmer who has spent more than a decade teaching people how to farm and garden regeneratively. A former high school teacher with a master's in education, he has written more than twenty books, including The Permaculture Student series and the Regenerative Soil Trilogy.
His work on soil microscopy has changed how labs, consultants, compost producers, and farmers evaluate soil, compost, roots, and inoculants. He teaches bright field, dark field, and epifluorescence methods, and hosts the podcast A Regenerative Future.
At the workshop he is teaching four sessions: Roots, Mycorrhizae, and the Rhizosphere, Regenerative Soil from Micro to Macro, Soil Microscopy for Farmers, and A Look into the Future of Soil.
Jason Mauck farms corn, soybeans, and wheat in east central Indiana alongside a large hog operation, and he has spent over a decade rethinking how much a single acre can actually produce. His Constant Canopy system uses relay intercropping, wide rows, and season-long living cover to capture more sunlight and cut input costs.
He is blunt about what works and what does not, and he backs it with his own side-by-side trials on wheat, relay soybeans, manure integration, and livestock on cropland. Expect ideas that will make you rethink your row spacing.
He is presenting on Intercropping and on Livestock Integration.
Simeon Kleinsasser works in technical sales, research, and product development at Hiwassee Products, where he helps growers build and apply compost extracts at field scale. He studied plant science and came into biological farming through turf, transitioning a full athletic field program to regenerative management using foliar nutrition and compost extract.
His focus is practical compost quality: moisture, carbon to nitrogen ratio, particle size and airflow, vermicomposting, and using microscopy to verify that what you brewed is what you think you brewed.
He is presenting the Tuesday afternoon sessions on compost extract and on rhizophagy, with a live microscope demonstration.
David Kleinschmidt is an independent conservation agronomist who helps farms transition to systems that balance minerals, biology, and management. He works with cover crops, residue planning, and right-sized fertility to build long-term soil function while lowering risk.
He is known for turning complicated agronomy into clear, field-ready steps: reading a Haney test, managing carbon to nitrogen ratios ahead of a cash crop, in-season tissue and sap diagnostics, planter and sprayer setup, and trial designs that fit a real calendar and a real budget.
He is presenting How Soil Respiration and Aggregation Drive Crop Success.
Adam York is a fifth-generation farmer from Jacksonville, Illinois, and the founder of AgriBio Systems. After returning to the family farm he found that yields were not keeping up even in ideal years, so he started testing soil biology on a handful of acres in 2012 and never went back.
He now farms more than 10,000 acres using compost extracts, biologicals, reduced tillage, non-GMO programs, and cover crops, and he founded AgriBio Systems in 2014 to give other growers the same tools.
He opens the workshop with Why We Changed: From Conventional Farming to Biology First.

09Feedback
What attendees pointed to most often was the format: speakers who stayed in the room, time to ask real questions, and conversations with people working on the same problems.
There was more value and excitement for me as a turf professional at your event than any workshop or expo I can recall attending in the turf industry.
2026 attendee
The speakers brought both the why and the how to implementing practices.
The open format allowed for questions, with ample time to meet other participants.
I skipped a different conference to attend, and I am glad I did.
Connecting with like-minded people facing the same challenges.
The venue is a key piece in providing authenticity.
The value was completely there for me, and I am not even a farmer.
10Partners
The workshop is not a moneymaker for us and is not meant to be. These companies are the reason registration is $150 for all three days and the reason we can bring in speakers worth traveling for.
Sponsorship for 2027 is open through November 1, 2026. If your company works with growers who care about soil, get in touch.
The room is kept small on purpose so the discussion stays useful. Register early to hold your spot for January 26 to 28, 2027.
The Winter Workshop is put on and hosted by AgriBio Systems in Jacksonville, Illinois.
