Feeding biology, supporting roots, unlocking early nutrient efficiency.

The Opportunity

The in-furrow window is the most
direct path to biological dominance.

Applied at planting, in-furrow biology goes exactly where roots explore first. This window establishes microbial populations, supports root function, and improves nutrient availability in the rhizosphere—before the crop ever shows above ground.

Critical Timing

The first 7–21 days
set the ceiling.

Root architecture, nutrient efficiency, biological dominance, stress tolerance—and your yield potential ceiling—are all established in the weeks immediately after planting.

Day 1 Day 7 Day 10 Day 14 Day 18 Day 21

Root Architecture

Primary root structure and lateral branching patterns are locked in early.

Nutrient Efficiency

Early biological activity determines how well the crop accesses applied inputs.

Biological Dominance

Beneficial populations established first suppress pathogenic pressure longer.

Yield Ceiling

Maximum yield potential is largely set before the crop even emerges.

Concentrated Liquid Biology

BioMax® E

Extracted from premium vermicompost, BioMax E delivers over 400 species of beneficial microorganisms directly into the root zone. It rapidly populates the rhizosphere with living biology, supports nutrient retention, and improves soil structure from the moment it's applied.

Why we use it

  • Promotes microbial biodiversity and soil balance
  • Enhances nutrient uptake and retention
  • Improves water-holding capacity and root-zone efficiency
  • Supports resilience under early-season stress

Bacterial + Fungal Balance

DualStart® B + F

A two-part formula that addresses both sides of the microbial equation. DualStart® B delivers a concentrated blend of microbial-supporting carbon sources, minerals, and plant-derived compounds that stimulate soil bacteria. DualStart® F nourishes fungi with a blend of kelp extracts and humic substances. Together, they create functional balance in the rhizosphere.

Why we use it

  • Supports both bacterial and fungal populations
  • Improves nutrient mineralization and recycling
  • Enhances root-zone hydration and water uptake
  • Encourages stable soil aggregation and structure

Chitin · Carbon · Oceanic Phosphorus

Squid Juice or SeaPhos

Two different products, one spot in the program—chosen based on the goal. Both deliver ocean-derived carbon and biology into the root zone during the most critical window of crop establishment.

SeaPhos Squid Juice

Why chitin matters

Chitin is a structural polysaccharide found in fungal cell walls and insect exoskeletons. Applied in-furrow, it stimulates populations of chitin-degrading bacteria—primarily actinomycetes and Bacillus species—that are also among the most effective natural suppressors of soil-borne fungal pathogens. The result: a more biologically competitive root zone from day one, without adding a fungicide.

Green Flow Corp

Squid Juice

A low-heat squid hydrolysate delivering chitin, amino acids, fats, and a balanced 2-2-2 NPK that activates chitin-degrading biology in the root zone. OMRI certified and usable from germination through harvest.

Why we use it

  • Delivers chitin to activate beneficial chitin-degrading microbial populations
  • Stimulates bacteria that naturally suppress soil-borne fungal pathogens
  • Free amino acids and organic carbon serve as immediate microbial energy
  • Supports induced systemic resistance (ISR) in the young plant

Pacific Gro

SeaPhos

Plant-available phosphorus paired with carbon-based energy to fuel early root metabolism and microbial activity simultaneously. Bridges the gap between nutrient supply and biological demand in cold or tight soils.

Why we use it

  • Supplies plant-available phosphorus during the most P-demanding phase of establishment
  • Carbon carrier fuels root metabolism and microbial activity at the same time
  • Particularly effective in cold soils where P tie-up limits early availability

How They Work Together

One system.
Complete biology.

Each product plays a distinct role—combined, they create a biologically active, nutrient-efficient root environment from day one.

01

Bacterial + Fungal Balance

DualStart® B + F establish and support both populations—bacteria and fungi working in concert to drive nutrient cycles and soil structure.

02

Rapid Microbial Diversity

BioMax® E rapidly increases microbial activity and species diversity, amplifying the biological foundation laid by DualStart®.

03

Chitin, Carbon + Phosphorus

Squid Juice floods the root zone with chitin, activating disease-suppressing bacteria and fueling the system with amino acids and carbon. SeaPhos takes the same role where P availability is the limiting factor—carbon energy paired with plant-available phosphorus.

04

The Complete Root Zone

Together, they deliver a biologically active, nutrient-efficient root environment before the crop even shows above ground.

Application

Placed where it matters most.

Applied in-furrow at planting, directly alongside the seed in the root zone—extending the biological activity of seed treatment into the soil where roots will explore during early growth.

Key Takeaway

Place biology + energy
where roots will live first—
so the crop builds momentum early.

The in-furrow window doesn't get a second chance. What you put in that furrow determines what the crop has to work with for the rest of the season.
