What is Plant Sap Analysis?

Plant sap analysis is like a blood test for your crops. It provides a real-time snapshot of nutrients actively moving within the plant, allowing you to detect deficiencies weeks before visible symptoms appear.

Consult a Professional

Always consult with a qualified agronomist or crop advisor before making fertilizer decisions based on these results. Plant nutrition is complex and varies by crop, growth stage, and environmental conditions.

No Warranty

AgriBio Systems provides this tool as is, without warranty of any kind. We assume no responsibility for crop outcomes or decisions made based on this analysis.

Why Plant Sap Analysis?

Real-Time Crop Health

Sap analysis is like a blood test for your crops. It shows what nutrients are actually moving through the plant right now, not just what's in the soil.

Early Detection

Detect deficiencies 2 to 4 weeks before visible symptoms appear, giving you time to correct issues before yield loss occurs.

Young vs Old Leaf Comparison

Comparing young and old leaves reveals whether the plant is pulling nutrients from reserves or getting fresh uptake. This is critical for understanding nutrient flow.

About This Tool

Plant Sap Analyzer

Version 3.0 • Built by AgriBio Systems

What is Plant Sap Analysis?

Plant sap analysis measures the nutrients actually circulating in your crop's vascular system. Unlike soil tests, it shows what the plant is actually taking up and using, providing real-time nutritional status, like a blood test for your crops.

Why Compare Young vs Old Leaves?

Mobile nutrients (N, P, K, Mg, Mo, Cl) can be redistributed from older leaves to new growth when the plant is under pressure. If young leaves are noticeably higher than old leaves and overall levels are borderline, the plant is pulling from reserves, a sign that current uptake isn't fully keeping up with demand.

Immobile nutrients (Ca, S, Fe, Mn, Zn, B, Cu) largely stay where they were first deposited. If young leaves are deficient compared to old leaves or fall below the target range, the plant isn't getting enough from the roots. Foliar feeding is usually the fastest way to correct it.

Two Ways to Enter Data

Upload a NovaCropControl PDF and the analyzer extracts the crop-specific optimal ranges automatically, or use Manual Entry to type in values from any lab and set your own optimal ranges. Manual entry means the tool works with any laboratory format and any crop.
