Boron Synergy for Calcium Activation and Plant Development

B4 is a specially formulated liquid boron product designed for in-season supplementation and enhanced nutrient transport. Boron is essential for plant development, acting as a synergist with calcium to reinforce cell walls, promote strong root systems, and support balanced growth. It regulates sap pressure, aids in mineral movement, and plays a vital role in hormone regulation and photosynthesis efficiency. By maintaining boron levels within the optimal range, B4 promotes healthy reproductive growth and overall plant vigor.

Application timing should be guided by sap analysis due to variability in soil boron release. While boron is critical, it must be managed carefully—excess can cause toxicity. For best results, B4 can be applied in combination with Ca 9% to optimize calcium transport within the plant. Its versatility allows use through foliar, sidedress, or fertigation applications, providing flexibility across different management systems.

Key Benefits

  • Acts as a calcium synergist — enhances calcium movement and utilization within plant tissues.
  • Reinforces cell walls — strengthens structure and supports reproductive and vegetative development.
  • Improves root and shoot growth — promotes early establishment and sustained plant vigor.
  • Supports nutrient transport and hormone regulation — aids in mineral balance and internal plant communication.
  • Optimizes sap pressure and photosynthesis — improves metabolic function and energy flow in the plant.

Use Recommendations

Soil Application: ½–2 gallons per acre depending on crop, soil conditions, and application method.

Foliar: 1–6 pints per acre at the 3–4 leaf stage or pre-bloom.
Repeat as recommended by soil and tissue tests.
